I’ve been thinking about tacos (which isn’t unusual) which got me wondering how many tacos are consumed in the U.S. yearly. According to a report by the NPD Group, Americans ate 4.5 billion tacos in 2018 alone. I guess I’m not alone with my favorite midnight craving.
While there is no way to know exactly how many tacos are consumed on Cinco de Mayo each year, it's clear that tacos are an important part of the holiday's cultural celebrations and are enjoyed by many people across the United States.
To help you celebrate Cinco de Mayo and enjoy some delicious Mexican food, I want to share a local restaurant that offers some of the tastiest Mexican food in the area. It's important to support local businesses, so I encourage you to give the "local guys a try!"
And I’d love to hear about your favorites too.
Let's take a look!
Sutter Street Taqueria - Historic Folsom
My favorite item to order is their Carne asada super burrito. It's absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it. I occasionally switch things up with their Mahi Mahi Nachos.
They also have a great initiative to feed hungry folks in need--no questions asked. Check out their Suspended Meal Initiative to see how you can help.
